Social Justice Ministry
Our Social Justice Ministry enables our congregation to apply our UU faith in action and engage in the work of social justice in the broader community, recognizing that to do this work, is itself a spiritual practice.

Seeds of Support
Each Sunday the plate offering and designated checks are given to a local organization helping others and doing justice work.

Social Justice Ministry Council
The SJMC provides oversight for all current and proposed GPUUC Social Justice Ministry activities.

Albert Lovejoy Social Justice Dinner & Award
This annual event honors an exceptional person who has advanced the cause of social justice in our community. -
Tom Pettit Grant
This annual monetary grant is given to an organization that is promoting justice work in our community.

Equal Exchange Fair Trade
Granite Peak sells Fair Trade coffee, chocolates and other items in our “store” every Sunday. -
Food Collection
Every Sunday morning there is a non-perishable food collection taken to support local Food programs in feeding those in need. Food pantry hours are listed on our home page.

Granite Peak is a member of UUJAZ assisting them in engaging UU’s in justice making by nurturing congregational social justice ministries, connecting UU congregations across the state, and working for justice at the State Legislature.

We work with this interfaith organization to promote justice projects in our local community.
Green Sanctuary
We provide our members and friends with tools for taking individual and collective action in our daily life choices to strive towards a carbon-neutral footprint and to live in harmony with the Earth.
